Trimex Sands to expand at Rs 150 cr

To increase its production capacity to about 4.5 lakh tonne per annum (ltpa) heavy minerals producer Trimex Sands is to invest about Rs 150 crore. Currently the company produces about 3 ltpa heavy minerals. Majority of this is Ilmenite. Now it plans to invest about Rs 150 crore on expansion, mostly on creating new manufacturing facilities but everything is subject to securing various clearances, the company said in Visakhapatnam.
